We had a fantastic stay at The Bathhouse Apartment in Ilfracombe. The apartment is beautifully modern, spotlessly clean, comfortable and very well equipped with everything you could possibly need for a relaxing stay.

The location is excellent, ideally situated for exploring all that North Devon has to offer, with plenty of lovely restaurants nearby, many of which are dog friendly.

A special thank you to Lara, who made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived.

We attended a lovely wedding retreat at the Tunnels Beaches Wedding Venue.

We stayed at the beautiful Bath House Holiday Apartments which was conveniently located right next door – literally one minute away.

We spent our holiday in Apartment No5, three bedrooms duplex with a lovely view of the hills around Ilfracombe.

It was almost looking at a vibrant William Turner picture, it was very picturesque!

And not to mention, the beds were just amazing, we had the best night sleep. And especially the shower had a great pressure, its just a little thing, but just makes the difference for our start to the morning.

The host was very accomodating, we asked for an earlier check in and she made sure the apartment was ready for us.

I therefore highly recommend the Bath House.

Bath House apartments are well situated with easy access to the harbour/pier; to walk through the gardens or to do a walk across the Torrs. We stayed in Apartment 1 and it has been renovated to an amazing standard. Everything we could have needed was there; and the beds were the most comfortable we have ever slept in (so much so that we have asked for brand details to purchase new ones for home).

Little touches such as the welcome pack with tea bags, coffee, sugar and milk was much appreciated. Lara, the host, was friendly and approachable.

We would highly recommend Bath House for anyone looking for self-catering accommodation in Ilfracombe.

We had such a fantastic week here! It was absolutely perfect for us travelling with two children.

The apartment was spotlessly clean, beautifully presented and had everything we needed. The beds were amazingly comfortable, and the rain shower was fantastic — definitely one of the highlights!

The location was great and it was really easy to get around and explore the area. Our host was wonderful too — so friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout our stay.

The best break in Ilfracombe!

What a find! This newly renovated building is beautiful. It’s spotless, safe, and the design is lovely. You can’t beat the location – just two steps to the Tunnels Beaches and an easy walk to everything else.

I brought my two pups with me and they were welcomed with open arms. It’s hard to find places that are genuinely dog-friendly, but this is one of them. Lara is a gem – so kind and helpful, she really makes the experience special. We’ve stayed a few times now and it’s always a lovely experience. Thank you, Lara!

Absolutely fantastic stay at Bath House Holiday Apartments!

Lara is a terrific host — incredibly supportive, welcoming and professional. From the moment I arrived, everything felt very well organised and genuinely welcoming.

The apartments are modern and newly refurbished. The one I stayed in was honestly one of the most comfortable places I’ve stayed, with everything you could possibly need. You can tell that a lot of thought has gone into the small practical details.

I especially loved the shower! The water heater is right there, so there’s no waiting 10 minutes for hot water to travel through the pipes — hot water is available straight away. Such a simple thing, but it makes a huge difference. The temperature inside the apartment was also just right throughout my stay.

The location is excellent. It’s surprisingly quiet and peaceful, yet you are right in the town centre with everything close by. The sound insulation between the apartments is also great — I barely noticed other guests at all, which made the stay even more comfortable.

I’ll definitely be coming back. Next time I’m bringing friends, especially as some of the apartments can accommodate up to six people!

Awesome place to stay when you want beach holidays in Woolacombe, hiking in the area on South West coast or after day on Lundy island. Apartments are very spacious and very comfortable – the best mattress situation on this side of the coast. In Bath House apartment you will have everything you need for short or long stay. Great if you like to make your own breakfast or like using the kitchen. Super shout out for shower situation – power shower was so good after long hiking trip. And host Lara is the most interesting woman you will meet in Ilfracombe. Highly recommended place to stay in North Devon.

Lara was a fantastic host – super friendly and helpful. She treated my two dogs like her own. The flat is beautifully designed, fresh, and just two steps from Tunnels Beaches. Great location – walkable to town with excellent coffee, restaurants, and plenty of vegan options. Lovely walks nearby like Torrs Walk with stunning views and hidden beaches. My dogs are already begging to come back – and we will, for sure, to the Bath House Holiday Apartments. Highly recommend!
